Alldocube iPlay 50 Display

iPlay 50 features a 10.4-inch IPS LCD display with 2000 x 1200 pixels, at ~224 PPI. The display is cozy 350 nits that is quite suitable for indoor use, and it is rated to have a peak brightness of 330 nits. As for HDR, the screen lacks it as well as the high refresh rate feature. The clarity that it offers is fantastic for media use but some users say that the Oppo Pad Air's screen, in comparison, is better suited for outdoor use because the iPlay 50 screen is dimmer outside.

  • 2000 x 1200, ~224 PPI
  • Up to 350 nits
  • Tempered glass protection
  • No HDR or high refresh rate

Performance and Software

A 12nm-based 2.0GHz octa-core Unisoc T618 processor with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB (expandable with a microSD) storage operating on Android 12 is the powerhouse of the iPlay 50. It's good for basic apps and media consumption tasks but it tends to slow down when engaging in multitasking. It's okay with a budget but a little bit behind in software updates has been a user's complaint about the slower speed of the light of day regarding the speed of the updates compared to Nokia T20.

  • Unisoc T618, octa-core, 12nm
  • 4GB/6GB RAM, 64GB/128GB storage
  • Android 12
  • MicroSD support
  • No Google Play Services in some regions
Test iPlay 50 Score (est.)
Geekbench 5 (Single-Core) ~350
Geekbench 5 (Multi-Core) ~1200
3DMark Wild Life ~700

The T618 is adequate for casual use, but Android 12 lacks long-term support.

Sensors and Features

Whatever the case, the iPlay 50 is still a nice device as it is enabled with accelerometer, gyroscope, and a proximity sensor. Unfortunately, the idea of biometrics or health monitoring features is missing here. As for networking, the device is linked through dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The tablet’s conventional nature, as a matter of fact, came with a statement of disappointment from them for the lack of innovative technology, or advanced sensors in this case.

  • Accelerometer, gyroscope
  • Proximity sensor
  • No biometric sensors
  • No health features
  • Dual-band Wi-Fi

The iPlay 50 offers ~10 hours of battery life with a 6000mAh battery. It supports 10W charging (0–100% in ~3.5 hours) via USB-C. Real-world use yields 8–10 hours for media. Users appreciate its endurance but note slow charging compared to Oppo Pad Air.

  • 10W charging: 0–100% in ~3.5h
  • USB-C
  • No fast charging

  • GPS, LTE (cellular models)
  • USB-C, 3.5mm jack
  • No Wi-Fi 6

Pricing and Availability

Available in the market at $129 (4GB/64GB, Wi-Fi version), the iPlay 50 was released in June 2022 by Alldocube and was also made available through retailers. For cellular models, an extra of $30 was needed, while 6GB/128GB models started at $159. The device is still an available budget-friendly option. It was a budget-effective choice for the consumers but they feel the gadget still needs some more work done as it was a not-too-refined variant from Nokia T20.

Configuration Price (USD) Monthly (24 mo)
4GB/64GB (Wi-Fi) $129 $5.38
6GB/128GB (LTE) $189 $7.88
