A charging dock is such a crafty stand which can provide a lift to your tablet while standing in an upright position. Docks are usually made out of aluminum, plastic or in a combination of both and they usually weight 200–500g and are only 10–15cm wide. The design is usually minimalist and the colors are black, silver, or white for the most part, and the base is heavy and has rubber feet so that it can move but not slip. Some have different angle adjustments and some can't be moved. However, cable management slots are additional features that help users to keep organized. Though the wooden-feel desk is glamorous, some users express their opinion that heavier docks take lots of effort to be moved.

Performance and Features

The docks act as energy banks for the tablets and they are usually able to deliver constant power which is further boosted by the fast charging capability (15–30W) via the USB-C or proprietary cable. They are more than capable of holding the tablets when tilted at an angle of 30–60°, which is quite convenient for video calls and notification checking with a single glance. Dozens of configurations come with additional ports like USB-A or HDMI, which are indispensable to the tablet owner if he has to connect some peripherals. Several models have both the tablet and the user's smartphone charged up, so apart from charging they are also a hub. The cable is hidden and the users are satisfied with the clean and tidy desk, but they are aware that the fixed angle of the dock may limit the range of activities to a certain degree.

Compatibility and Usage
