The Latitude 9440 is a 14-inch laptop which uses a magnesium alloy chassis of 14.2mm thickness and weighs 1.53kg. Currently, the color selection is limited to one: Graphite. Backlit keyboard, Gorilla Glass touchscreen, and a 360-degree hinge are the characteristics of the 2-in-1 version. It is possible to use it for business. It has been recommended for being durable; Despite that, it has also been noted that it is heavier than the XPS 13.

Latitude 9440 Display

The 14-inch QHD+ (2560x1600, 60Hz) display of the Latitude 9440 is a capacitive multi-touch and active pen enabled screen with high brightness of 500 nits and pixel density of ~216 PPI. The screen is also smaller but of a better quality compared to the Inspiron 16. The fact that it is not only a high-resolution screen but also a very high-resolution one is one of the reasons that it is considered good for work even though users still mention the lack of a high refresh rate as a minus point.

Performance and Software

Empowered by Intel Core i7-1365U (10-core, 5.2GHz) or i5-1345U, with Intel Iris Xe GPU, the Latitude 9440 provides 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and Windows 11 Pro as options. It leads the business-oriented tasks while it is outperformed in graphic performance by Alienware m16 R2. It gets the praise for its mostly trouble-free operation, but they have pointed downgrade its gaming potential as a notable drawback.

Pricing and Availability

Launching from $1,799 (QHD+, i5, 16GB, 256GB), the Latitude 9440 was presented by Dell and physical shops during March 2023. The most expensive models are worth $2,499 (i7, 32GB, 1TB, 5G) and are still available. Through the purchase, a user recognizes the selling factors of the product are enterprise-oriented, although besides the fact that it was the Inspiron 16 which was the competitive alternative, Dell Latitude 9440 cannot satisfy all its customers' needs due to the expensive cost.
