The Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro comes with a solid titanium 45mm body which is a mere 10.5mm in depth, and a black D-Buckle Sport Band with a magnetic fastener. In addition to being 46.5g in weight, the titanium edition also offers Black Titanium and Gray Titanium colors. It accepts 130–210mm wrist size and is equipped with a capacitive touch bezel, the side buttons, and the 20mm bands. Galaxy Watch 5 Pro Display

The Watch 5 Pro is equipped by a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display in 450 x 450 pixels (45mm, ~321 PPI). It has a maximum brightness of 1000 nits with the always-on feature. Smaller and darker are the main points about the display in this case, even it is still good enough to be used in direct sunlight. Users have come out with comments on the feature of the display to be very suitable for the purpose of fitness tracking, although they point out that the Watch 6’s screen is brighter and larger in size.

Performance and Software

Exynos W920 1.5GB RAM, and 16GB storage materialize the Watch 5 Pro’s smartwatch with an OS 3.5 based on Wear OS and One UI Watch 4.5 (which can be later updated to One UI 5). The device’s features include Samsung Health, full GPS mapping of the mountains for hikes, and body composition analysis. While the W930 in Watch 6 is faster than the 1.18GHz W920, it still excels in outdoor tracking. Its stability has been admired by most of the users, although some have noticed the fall of its RAM compared to the newer options.

Sensors and Health

Blood Pressure, ECG, body composition, temperature sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer, geomagnetic sensor, and light sensor are all included in the Watch 5 Pro. By these, you can track your heart condition, oxygen level, sleep pattern, and menstrual period. But, without One UI 5, it is not possible to detect sleep apnea. Most of the users have found the watch very health-supportive, though some did not like the idea of it being connected to a Samsung phone.

The Watch 5 Pro is giving you approximately 80 hours of battery life with a 590mAh battery. Additionally, it features fast wireless charging (0–50% in ~30min) through a USB-C charger that is magnetic. You can expect 60–72 hours from practical usage.

Connectivity

The Watch 5 Pro supports Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n, 2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, and LTE (cellular models, $499+). It includes a microphone and speaker for calls. Connectivity is reliable but lacks the Watch 6’s dual-band GPS and Bluetooth 5.3. Users praise its GPS for hiking but note no Wi-Fi 6.⁷

Pricing and Availability

On August 26, 2022, the Watch 5 Pro from Samsung hit the shelves with a price tag of $449.99 for the 45mm, Bluetooth, titanium model through carriers and retailers, also the e-store of Samsung or the official website. For LTE models, customers pay an extra $50. It hasn’t been sold out yet, and it has got a decrease in price of about $400. It is rated excellent for use outside, and the battery life is said by users to be absolutely perfect for such a case, but they are of the view that it is too expensive.
