The 40mm and 44mm editions of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 are built with an aluminum chassis that measures 9.8mm. The weight of the 40mm model is 28.7g, while the weight of the 44mm model is 32.8g. The colors of the watch are Graphite, Sapphire, Silver (44mm) and Graphite, Pink Gold, Silver (40mm). It can fit 130–210mm wrists, has a capacitive touch bezel, side buttons, and 20mm bands. Galaxy Watch 5 Display

The Watch 5 comes with a Super AMOLED display having 396 x 396 pixels (40mm, 1.2 inches) or 450 x 450 pixels (44mm, 1.4 inches), both of ~330 PPI. The user can select from 1000 nits brightness with the always-on functionality. The screen has a shorter diagonal than that of the Watch 6, and the brightness level is lower too. The current users feel that it is a good solution for their everyday usage.

Performance and Software

The Watch 5 is equipped with the Exynos W920 (dual-core, 1.18GHz, 5nm) processor with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, running Wear OS 3.5 and One UI Watch 4.5 (upgradeable to One UI 5) operation systems. This firmware also has the possibility to use Samsung Health, do the body composition analysis, and track sleep. It is less powerful than the W930 of the Watch 6 and has a smaller memory.

The Watch 5 provides a battery life of approximately 36 hours from a 284mAh (40mm) or 410mAh (44mm) battery. It also has a fast wireless charging feature (0-50% in about 30 minutes) using a magnetic USB-C charger.Battery life is shorter than the Watch 5 Pro’s but comparable to the Watch 4. Pricing and Availability

The fact that it was introduced at a price of $279.99 (40mm, Bluetooth, aluminum), the Watch 5 came on stage for sale on August 26, 2022, through Samsung, carriers, and shops. LTE models are $30 more and the 44mm model has the first price of $309.99. Even now, it is in stock, and the cost of it has been reduced to about $230. The users consider it as a more economical choice when compared to the Watch 5 Pro.
