The ProBook 640 G8 comes with a 14-inch FHD IPS display (1920x1080, 60Hz) with 250 nits brightness and ~157 PPI. It has a 45% NTSC color gamut. The screen is okay but not as bright as the Dell Latitude 5420. People say it's alright for work but also mention the low brightness.

HP ProBook 640 G8 Display

Intel Core i5-1135G7 (4-core, 4.2GHz) with Intel Iris Xe Graphics is the engine that drives the ProBook 640 G8 and it is coupled with 16GB DDR4 RAM and Windows 10 Pro. It performs decently in implementing multiple tasks but may be slower in comparison to Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3. Pricing and Availability

HP was the first to offer the ProBook 640 G8 at the very reasonable price of $1,199. The notebook, equipped with i5-1135G7, 16GB, and 512GB, was launched in February 2021 by HP and also sold at the major retailers. 4G LTE options cost an additional $200 while the more powerful ones were as priced as $1,499. EOLed in 2023, it can now be found refurbished for $500–$700. The ProBook 640 G8's main feature is the modern and broad connectivity while its power is recognized to be a bit lesser than Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 3.
