The Olixar Ultra Thin Clear Case is manufactured for the iPad Air 13 (13-inch screen) only and it is a transparent TPU cover that allows the device’s original design to be visible. It is about 0.8mm thick and weighs roughly 100–120g, so it adds almost no bulk. The case in clear or slightly tinted colors fits perfectly with the USB-C port, speakers, cameras, and Apple Pencil slot as well as the casing. Because of the flexible TPU material, the case feels soft and grippy and an oleophobic coating prevents from fingerprints. The Olixar Ultra Thin Clear Case retains the iPad Air 13’s screen clarity due to its transparent design and it also does not affect the touch sensitivity or the Apple Pencil functionality. The case provides light scratch protection (3H–5H) and also features raised edges to prevent the screen and camera from getting scratched when placed on a surface. The case does not touch the screen directly but is still compatible with screen protectors. The users are happy with the clear screen and the slim profile of the case, but they point out that there is less drop protection than with the bulkier cases.

Durability and Protection

The Olixar Ultra Thin Clear Case is quite a strong anti-scratch with a rating from 3H to 5H for iPads back and sides and, therefore, it is good for preventing scratches caused by keys and minor abrasions. The TPU material acts like a shock absorber for minor impacts, and the raised edges prevent the screen and camera from touching the surface. Fingerprints are reduced due to the oleophobic coating. It offers minimal drop protection and does not have water/dust resistance. Users say it is quite durable but still advise using a screen protector if you want full coverage.
