The Oppo Reno10 that hit the market in July 2023 has a fine and minimalistic design with a premium glass (Asahi Glass AGC DT-Star2) and aluminum frame that gave it a luxurious appearance. With a dimension of 6.38 x 2.91 x 0.31 inches (162.2 x 74 x 7.9 mm) and a weight of 6.35 ounces (180g), it is very light and fits comfortably in hand. The gadget, available in Silvery Grey and Glossy Purple, has curved edges and a thin profile that are the main grip enhancers. The handset comes with a power button at the side that houses the fingerprint sensor and also the customizable slider that allows you to quickly change the settings instead of the traditional mute switches. Despite having an IP54 rating which means it is splash and dust resistant, it is still not as good as those of other high-end devices.

In order to ensure that the costs remain competitive, the Reno10 has omitted wireless charging and an IP68 rating, which is a higher level of waterproof, but has retained wired charging and splash resistance of a lower rating. However, the punch-hole display is a change from the older notch designs and it complies with the latest trends, though it is not equipped with dynamic UI elements like Apple’s Dynamic Island. Some users of the device state that it is of premium build, however, the glass back is prone to smudges if a case is not used.
Oppo Reno10 comes with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2412 (394 PPI) that gives you vibrant colors and deep blacks for HDR10+ videos. The 120Hz refresh rate makes the scrolling and animations very smooth and it even beats the budget competitors which use 60Hz displays. It reaches 500 nits typical brightness and up to 950 nits peak for the maximum brightness, so it will be very clear even if you use it in the sun. The curved screen with the punch-hole camera gives a more immersive experience but it does not have the Always-On Display, which is a feature that only the high-end models have.
The screen is perfect for movies and games, but the lack of an Always-On Display and the slightly dimmer maximum brightness compared to flagship devices have been mentioned as minor compromises. The color accuracy of the device has been appreciated by the reviewers, however, the curved edges may result in inadvertent touches.
Reno10 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset, which has an 8-core CPU (2x Cortex-A78 at 2.6 GHz, 6x Cortex-A55 at 2.0 GHz) and Mali-G68 MC4 GPU and offers strong performance. It is paired with 8GB RAM and 128/256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which allows it to perform multitasking and gaming smoothly, however, it is slightly behind in GPU-intensive tasks compared to flagship phones. The latter version of ColorOS 13.1 based on Android 13 is a customizable user interface that offers not only smart gestures but also productivity tools that are enhanced by AI. Oppo is committed two years of OS updates and three years of security patches for their users.
Test | Oppo Reno10 Score |
---|---|
Geekbench 5 (Single-Core) | ~850 |
Geekbench 5 (Multi-Core) | ~2,300 |
GFXBench Manhattan 3.1 | ~45 fps |
3DMark Wild Life | ~2,200 |
The Dimensity 7050 guarantees seamless daily performance, but a few users have mentioned that they experienced some UI lag during heavy multitasking. The software has a lot of features, but it also has unnecessary apps that can be removed.
The Reno10 has a triple rear camera with 64MP main (f/1.7, 25mm, PDAF), 32MP telephoto (f/2.0, 2x optical zoom) and 8MP ultra-wide (f/2.2, 112° FOV). The front camera is 32MP (f/2.4). It can record 4K video at 30fps and one of the features included in the package is Night Mode, Portrait, and AI scene enhancement. The main sensor is very good in the dark while the telephoto gives the best 2x zoom shots.

Most of the reviewers agree that the camera certainly has a lot of versatility, but the ultra-wide sensor has problems when the lighting is not sufficient. The telephoto lens is highly rated as a feature that sets mid-range phones apart from others.
The Reno10 5000mAh battery is compatible with 67W SUPERVOOC charging, thus being able to charge half of its capacity in ~20 minutes. It can provide up to 20 hours of continuous video watching or 10 hours of gaming. Actual tests conducted in real-world scenarios indicate approximately 16 hours of mixed use and thus it is better than many mid-range rivals.
