Weighing only 167 grams (5.89 ounces) and measuring 146.0 mm by 70.6 mm by 7.6 mm, it is comfortable to handle. You can get it in Phantom Black or Phantom White and the matte design keeps fingerprints away from the display. The Side Key lets you personalize access to tools such as the camera or Samsung Pay.

The main screen on the S22 is a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X, with a 2340 x 1080 pixel resolution and 425 pixels per inch and it supports HDR10+. You’ll notice the display easily in the sunlight because of its 1300 nit peak brightness and its 120Hz adaptive refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling. The screen which is flat, is covered with Gorilla Glass Victus+.

Software and Processor

The S22 runs on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 (4nm) chipset that comes with 8GB of RAM. With the S21 Plus, gaming and switching between apps is 70% faster. Users can choose from 128GB and 256GB in storage. Its update version is One UI 4.1, run on Android 12 but upgradable to Android 15.

Camera System

Samsung S22 includes a 50MP (f/1.8) wide-angle camera, 12MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera and 10MP (3x) telephoto camera on its S22 triple-camera system. The device’s 10MP selfie camera (with f/2.2 aperture) comes with autofocus. You can record in 8K at 24 frames per second or 4K at 60 frames per second using Super Steady mode. You'll like using the Night and Portrait Modes, but there isn’t much to say for the camera’s macro performance.
