Galaxy S9 Display

The Galaxy S9 display has a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED screen that presents the images in 2960 x 1440 resolution (570 PPI) and also supports HDR10. The panel features about 1000 nits peak brightness, which makes it vibrant and sharp. The refresh rate of 60Hz is quite good, but is still slightly lower than the latest display technology.

The display is bright and vivid, although the 60Hz refresh rate is old-fashioned. The small size is great for one-handed use.

Software and Processor

The S9 has the Snapdragon 845 processor inside (Exynos 9810 in some countries), an 8-core CPU on which the 10nm technology is applied, and 4GB RAM. The device is available with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage options that can be expanded through a microSD card slot. Android 8 Oreo is the platform it uses (though it can be updated to Android 10) and Samsung's Experience UI is the software. Performance is adequate, but at the same time, it is limited by the amount of RAM available for heavy multitasking scenarios.

While the Snapdragon 845 is very well at most tasks, problems may occur when running the latest apps due to 4GB of RAM. In addition, the feature of the inclusion of Bixby and AR Emoji exists, but it is still not so finished.
